This is a wonderful example of the iconic Danish Modern surfboard coffee table designed by Grete Jalk for Glostrup. It features slightly darker teak coloring that is consistent with late 50s early 60s production. This is an extremely well cared for piece that is very attractive, functional and well made. The original owners purchased this item while stationed in Denmark and brought back to the USA along with many other Danish furnishings during the 60s. It is in nearly MINT CONDITION with only the slightest signs of any use. This piece has the characteristic turned up edges as well as the slated lower shelf.
