This pair of authentic Swan Chairs are fine examples of the iconic Arne Jacobsen design produced by Fritz Hansen. This is probably one of Jacobsen’s most recognizable designs and this pair is in very nice condition.

These Chairs were produced in 2003 and have not been reupholstered. They retain their original Fritz Hansen upholstery in Charcoal / Black. I have not done extensive research on the fabric used but it appears to be some type of synthetic knit… but I am not an expert on fabrics.

These chairs also exhibit all the attributes of authentic Fritz Hansen production, the most obvious being the manufacturers label on the underside of the chair and the embossed Fritz Hansen name on the underside of the base. In addition, the tell-tail hand stitching that results in the chairs unique wavy seams is clearly visible. Many times, when these chairs are re-upholstered, the work is not done by experts that reproduce the original hand stitched wavy seams. 

Both chairs are in very fine condition with only light signs of use. There is some oxidation and abrasions on the base consistent with light use. Fabric looks very good on both chairs but upon viewing in extremely bright sunlight and from just the right angle, very light ghosts of a few stains can be seen. I could not get the faint stains to show in the photos and in normal interior light they cannot be seen. 

Measurements: 30.5″ high x 30″ width x 27″ deep. The seat height is 16″
