This is a very nice Danish Modern platform – floating Queen-size bed in vintage Brazilian Rosewood. The lines on this are graceful and simple, making it more desirable than some of the more common square box designs. The long side rails are tapered in the middle, and the edges and corners are rounded for a softer look. The headboard and footboard are heavier and better constructed than some beds of lesser quality. This is a nice-quality bed made by W & B Möbler and distributed by Nordisk Andels-Eksport. The bed comes with its original Brazilian Rosewood base, which adds to the “floating” effect.
The quality of this item can be seen in the construction and materials used. This is not your standard Teak box Danish bed – look at the photos of the corners. This is simply a slightly better product than some of the other floating beds you might see on eBay. The overall condition of the Brazilian Rosewood is nearly perfect, with only slight signs of wear. Nice solid construction and graceful modern design by a top-notch company.
This bed comes with no attached nightstands, but the upside is that it can fit into MANY MORE locations. If you are in a townhouse, apartment, or a living space where every inch counts, this bed could be the ticket.
